Anyone else often on the lookout for something fun, and where possible free for your little one/s to do? Come on, I can’t be the only one! Don’t get me wrong, I do take my little lady to places where you have to pay, however it all adds up and sometimes the best things in life are free… I thought it would be fun to put together some ideas and places that cost nothing (except petrol sometimes). Check them out below:
There here is so much you can do with your children for free! If you have any more suggestions please pop them in the comments as I would love some more ideas! I hope this post has given you some fun tips. Enjoy. Thanks for reading K x

My hubby’s favourite past time is going to the cinema. Even when our baby lady was the size of an avocado he was dreaming of the day he could take his “Princess Warrior” (his name for her, not mine) to the cinema for the first time! Drum roll please… his dream came true! On Easter Monday we took our 2 year old to watch Peppa Pig’s Festival of Fun at Cineworld. The perfect choice as she is loving all things Peppa Pig at the moment. We were in the cinema for an hour and a half (as there were WAY too many adverts). I was concerned she wouldn’t sit still for that long; she did and loved every minute of it! They showed 10 new Peppa Pig Episodes. They were broken up with some audience participation with real children, this was a fun addition. Our lady loved it so much that she cried when it finished! After the cinema we headed for some pizza (just like Peppa did in the film). It was a lovely way to round off our day. I really do rate Pizza Express, as they make families feel very welcome. The children's menu was great value for money, and tasty too. I loved the chefs hat they gave her to colour in. All of these touches make such a difference.
We had the best family day! We were such proud parents seeing our little lady all grown up watching her first cinema film! (I think the hubby is looking out for the next family film!) If your little one likes Peppa Pig I would highly recommend The Festival of Fun for their first cinema experience . The terrible twos… or as I like to refer to them at the Sassy twos (sighs…just makes me feel a bit better) The Sassy Twos have hit our household full steam ahead! As a first time mum I had obviously heard of them, but it’s a different thing dealing with them! So I have put together some ideas for any parent who is dealing with the sassy twos! I hope this is some help and PLEASE if you have any suggestions pop them in the comments below! STOCK UPStock up on chocolate, tea, coffee whatever your vice is to get you through the day! Mine is definitely tea and hot cross buns (I don’t get to drink it hot very often though). These little treats will keep you going! WALK AWAYIf it all gets too much and your little one is in a safe place walk away. Take a minute to recompose yourself. Sit on the toilet, that’s what I do! breatheDon’t forget to breathe. Breathing is the best way to keep a clear head and the oxygen flowing. Simple yet effective. STRATEGIESFind behavioural strategies that work for you and your little one. For example I have introduced a time out mat. I have hated doing it because I am a softy, but they do need boundaries. They will respect you more for it. talkI find it best to talk everything through with you little one (i'm not sure how much they understand but hey it’s worth a shot) Also talk to your partner or loved one. A problem shared is a problem halved. IN their SHOESYou were two once…they are not terrible. Their tiny heads are full of new information, they are experiencing new emotions, learning new thing, and physically growing. It is exhausting, and is a lot for a little one to deal with. BE STRONGIt is tough, but when you are feeling like it may be a bit too much, just remember a happy moment. This will bring you back into the moment, and give you the push to keep going! Thank you for taking the time to read this! I hope my hints and tips help a little bit! We all have hard days, but we must remember to treasure every moment we have, as we will never live the same day again KX Today I posted a photo on my Instagram just to say thank you to all of the lovely people who have supported my blogging/social media journey so far!
