It had been a long time since I had been on an all-inclusive European holiday. When I was little I used to go on them, and I loved them! The discos, and kids entertainment was always a highlight for me!
In January the hubby and I started to have a nosy at family summer holidays. At the time TUI were offering free children’s places, and £50 off per adult. That’s when we spotted Leonardo Laura Beach & Splash Resort in Cyprus! It seemed to tick all of the boxes! A family fun hotel, guaranteed warm weather, all inclusive, flights from a local airport, and close to Pathos town. So we booked it for June this year! We arrived at the hotel at about 10pm, all pretty exhausted. We were welcomed with a fresh drink, and sandwiches. From first impressions I was very impressed with the hotel. It had recently been refurbished, looked clean, and bright. Our room was the perfect size and bubs bed was all ready for her, making it nice and easy for us (much to my relief). After a good night’s sleep we spent our first day exploring the hotel and the local area.
One thing that I noticed very quickly was how busy the hotel was. It was a large hotel so I should have expected it to be really. Sitting around the pool I did feel a bit overwhelmed by the amount of people. I did get used to it though.
What was really lovely was the family atmosphere. So many children swimming in the pool, eating ice creams, and playing on the water slides. My little lady absolutely loved the kid’s pool, I couldn’t get her out of it, nor the hubby out of the adult splash park! The food in this hotel has to be the best all-inclusive food I have ever eaten! I genuinely looked forward to meal times! They offered so much choice, it was tasty, and of great quality. My favourite thing was their homemade Greek style walnut cake, absolutely delicious (I could so eat that now!) I am quite shy about joining in with group activities but the TUI Entertainment staff were amazing! They were encouraging and so friendly. I therefore joined in Aqua and Zumba every day! This was so fun and great way to meet other mums. I have even continued doing an aqua class at home!
The hotel was in a great location. There was a bus stop outside the hotel, and buses were regular. One way it was 10 minutes to a beautiful sandy beach, (called Coral Bay), and 10 minutes in the opposite direction was Pathos Harbour.
We visited the beach twice. The beach was sandy, and the sea was crystal clear. It was the perfect beach for a toddler. My little lady loved splashing in the warm sea and making sand castles. There was also a café and toilet facilities right on the beach, which was ideal. We had the best all-inclusive family holiday in Cyprus! We were so sad to leave. The hubby has asked if we can go back, which speaks volumes! If you are looking for a family fun holiday I would highly recommend a holiday to Leonardo Laura Beach & Splash Resort in Cyprus! Kxx
